Victor Oakville (ヴィクトル・オークヴィル, Vikutoru Ōkuviru?) is a main character from Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. A former student of Daril Camuze, Victor serves in the Central Resulian Army as the captain of a special brigade called the King's Chosen.

Story[]
Victor is a member of an elite group of soldiers in the Central Resulian Army called the King's Chosen, a special ops-style brigade. Through the years, he has risen high enough in its ranks to become the leader of the 3rd Ranger Unit. Ever since he has joined the military, he has been learning the way of the sword from Fidel's father Daril, whom he admires enough to call Master.
All Victor's subordinates hold him in high esteem, and he has the strongest sense of duty of anyone in the land. As he is an adept soldier in the midst of a war, his skills are highly valued and he is often called upon to eliminate any foe who stands in opposition of Resulia. Although he never hesitates to fulfill these orders, Victor is not a killing machine; he does hold reservations about ending others' lives.
The armor he wears is standard issue for an operative in the King's Chosen. The ensigns of both the army as a whole and his brigade are emblazoned on the right shoulder, which are sources of both pride and confidence for him.
Profile[]
Victor trained under Fidel's father, Daril Camuze, and as such has some of the same techniques. However, Victor adds his own flair by wielding his scabbard as another weapon. He is known to be very proper and follows rules strictly. Shirking romance and friendships to pursue his training, Victor often misses social cues and has a strange sense of humor. Despite his stiff and proper demeanor, Victor has a heart of gold and would never allow harm to come to his friends.
Battle[]
As a playable character in Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, Victor wields a sword and scabbard in battle. He shares some skills with Fidel and uses the same skill books, the Swordsman's Manual. However, Victor's playstyle is different in that he has the highest base HP and DEF stats and is thus well suited to be the party's tank.
He also makes a playable appearance in Star Ocean: Anamnesis, wherein he currently has two variants: "Victor", and the Halloween-themed "Vampire Victor". New players in the Global release could chose his standard variant, the base Defender, as their initial 5☆ ACE character after the tutorial.

- In addition to having a similar fighting style to Albel Nox, Victor also shares Albel's English voice actor, Crispin Freeman.
- There is a discrepancy regarding Victor's age. His Japanese introduction trailer states that he is 32 years old, while the English trailer states that he is 26 years old; however, he is labeled as being 32 in the Encyclopedia files in-game.
