Tynave (タイネーブ, Tainēbu?) is a supporting character from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. She, along with her trusted partner Farleen, is a subordinate of Commander Nel Zelpher, leader of the Kingdom of Aquaria's Secret Legion. Tynave appears to be the brawn to Farleen's brains, and prefers physical fighting techniques rather than Runology.

Background[]
Tynave is a young, self-taught martial artist who enlisted into the Aquarian army during the war against the neighboring Kingdom of Airyglyph. She was assigned to the Secret Legion led by Commander Nel Zelpher, also one of the Queen Aquaria XXVII's Crimson Blade. Given her talents, she rose in the ranks and earned Nel's recognition and trust, enough to be named Acting Commander in case Nel is unavailable.
She also met, and became friends with, Farleen, with whom she is often partnered. Due to their good teamwork, Nel and Clair often dispatch the pair in more important and complex missions.
Aquaria—Airyglyph war[]
In the game, Tynave and Farleen are captured and held as bait by the Black Brigade. They also accompany the party to the copper mines, but are subsequently subdued by Albel. In the manga, she and Farleen have a number of bonus storylines together in which they complete various comical missions. Tynave often gets the short end of the stick during these missions due to her self-awareness and Farleen's antics. A scene at the copper mines implies that she and Cliff have a rivalry that turns into possible romantic affection when Cliff remains behind to hold off Albel so that the others can escape.

Originally a non-playable character in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Tynave (like Farleen) was made an optional, summonable party member in Star Ocean: Anamnesis.

- Despite Tynave lacking the formal training that Farleen received, Tynave is paid more than her (the -Eternal Materials- book confirms twice as much), which the latter accidentally lets slip when the two introduce themselves to Fayt. This is because Nel has an eye for her combat abilities.
- The boy in the Arias mansion mentions that Tynave can’t handle her alcohol and frequently gets into brawls when drunk.
- Tynave isn’t the most academically inclined, making frequent grammatical mistakes when Fayt speaks to her.
