Titles (称号, Shōgō?) are a gameplay feature in Star Ocean: Anamnesis. They are short phrases that the player can display next to their player name on the top menu, for characters on loan and in Multiplayer rooms.
Overview[]
Titles are earned by clearing missions, enhancing weapons, or fulfilling special conditions. Once a player satisfies the conditions for earning a particular title, they are automatically rewarded. The player can set attained titles by going the Other screen in the "Titles" sub-menu, where a list of all available titles and their conditions can be seen.
Titles are added on a regular basis, due to many being available by defeating Misery 2-3 bosses in events, as long as players defeat them within 3 minutes or within 1 minute (the shorter the battle, the better the title). From Eliminate the Gerel Horde to Armaros of the Deep Descends (including A Powerful Foe Attacks!), awarded titles were 4☆ and 5☆ in rarity, but starting from Transmogrified Alma's Descent onwards, the new standard became 5☆ and 6☆.
