The Executioner Attacks (エクスキューショナー襲来, Ekusukyūshonā Shūrai?, lit. Executioner Incursion) is a standard boss event in Star Ocean: Anamnesis. Its story is continued in the event Luther's Descent.
The featured characters are Albel and Ilia. Defeating the boss yields the titles 4☆ "Supporter of Elicoor" (エリクールの助っ人, Erikūru no Suketto?) and 5☆ "Savior of Elicoor" (エリクールの救世主, Erikūru no Kyūseishu?).
Story[]
The ship's alarms starts to sound, and Coro reports that an ultra-massive gravitational force, on the the scale of a black hole, is being generated in the vicinity of the GFSS-3214F. Coro regains his composure and tries to navigate the ship out of the gravitational pull, but it is no use. The ship is pulled into it and crash-lands on a planet, and the forced landing knocks the crew out. Coro wakes the captain up, and Evelysse wonders where they have landed. Evelysse and the captain go have a look around the nearby city, leaving Coro to repair the ship.
Outside, the two notices a person, the Aquarian army instructor Angelica, being chased by Executioners. The captain and Evelyss quickly go to help. After defeating the enemies, Angelica thanks them but also asks whether they are Aquarians or Glyphians. The captain gives an answer, but Angelica then asks whether they would be willing to take part in a defense operation at the Kirlsa Training Facility. She introduces them to Acting Commander Farleen and Vice-Commander Tynave (as Commander Nel Zelpher is away), who tell them of the kingdoms' plea: they are currently under attack by swarms of unidentified creatures calling themselves "Divine Messengers". They plan to hold them off at the facility and keep the enemies from reaching the town, and to lead them into the valley where they can smash them with a Runological weapon, the "Thunder Arrow". Evelysse and the captain help in the operation.
The operation is successful and the enemy retreats, for the time being. Tynave and Farleen thank Evelysse and the captain, but Farleen laments that Commander Zelpher couldn't see them fight (and Tynave wonders where she, as part of Fayt's party, is now). Dominic then reports that the Runological Weapons Unit accomplished its mission at the valley. After a short conversation with Dominic, the captain and Evelysse head out and go back to the ship.
