Staves (杖, Tsue?), also called rods, are a recurring set of weapons from the Star Ocean series. In many traditional RPGs, staves are the trademark weapon of magic-using classes, said to help draw and amplify the user's own magical power. In the series, staves are used by symbologists whose abilities rely on the Intelligence stat, which staves provide primarily. Variants include wands and canes.
