Planet of the Deep Blue Sea (青き海の惑星, Aoki Umi no Wakusei?) is a story event in Star Ocean: Anamnesis, detailing the visit of the GFSS-3214F to the Kingdom of Marezeria. The story is continued in The Broken Ruler and Captive Queen.
The featured units were Summer Myuria and Summer Miki. Defeating the boss yields the titles 5☆ "Knight of the Sea Kingdom" (海底王国の騎士, Kaitei Ōkoku no Kishi?) and 6☆ "The Wandering Savior" (わだつみの救い主, Wadatsumi no Sukuinushi?).
Story[]
The GFSS-3214F lands on an unidentified planet, though Evelysse realizes it is not the planet they intended. Myuria, one of Evelysse's summons, reveals she had changed the course, having decided to take a little detour, justifying that the planet's ecosystem is really interesting and a natural paradise teaming with plant materials that can be used for aromatherapy. Miki then agrees to her assertion of being a good idea to take a little break and offers to help the captain explore.
Outside, the beach brings back Miki's fond memories of the beach back in her village, Sthal. The lack of structures worth a closer look make Evelysse guess it is an underdeveloped planet, with no sign of human life. However, they notice a scumbag harassing a bushybrume (creatures also found on Faykreed IV), and Miki and Myuria decide to teach a lesson to the shady characters.
Once the assailants are defeated, the bushybrume, who is able to speak, much to Miki's surprise, commends them for their help and reveals himself to be King Robin of Marezeria. To thank them, he leads the party to his home after the Captain shows interest in his underwater kingdom. He leads them to a place filled with cordals so that they may take as many as they want.
The lack of buildings, castles and people for a so-called kingdom startles them, and so, King Robin decides to reveal the truth about Marezeria: only cordal reefs and scattered ruins remain of the fallen kingdom, and that their reincarnation symbology was their ruin. The Eternal Queen then attacks them in an attempt to kill King Robin, saying he would get in the ay of Marezeria's restoration. The party protects the king and defeat her. King Robin suspects that was one of Deimont's minions, and tells them of his ex-magistrate's crimes. Taking pity on the king, the party offers Robin help and the king accepts, though he is reluctant at first. He asks them to defeat Deimont, and rescue Queen Clarice. With enthusiasm, the captain's group agree to his request.
