Nevelle Zelpher is the father of Nel Zelpher and former leader of the Crimson Blade alongside Adray Lasbard. He was killed by Count Woltar of Airyglyph while trying to ensure the safety of his men.

The former Crimson Blade, Nel's father, and wielder of the Blades of Ryusen, a royal treasure of the Sacred Kingdom of Aquaria.
He has been missing-in-action for several years since a mission to infiltrate the Kingdom of Airyglyph. During his last mission, Nevelle and his men were attacked by the Storm Brigade. Nevelle served as a distraction to buy his men time so that they could flee. During this exploit, Count Woltar engaged Nevelle in battle. Kirlsa residents say that the battle lasted over two hours and was so fierce, no one else could join in. Ultimately, Woltar killed Nevelle, knowing that if he were to be captured instead, what awaited the spy was torture most cruel. Before the killing blow, Nevelle made Woltar promise to give the Blades of Ryusen to his daughter, Nel when she became worthy of the honor.
All of the responsibilities that used to belong to Nevelle are currently being carried out by Nel.
Nevelle's widow and Nel's mother, Reisel, is alive and resides in one of the inaccessible mansions in Aquios.
