Kevin Bachtein (ケビン・バークタイン, Kebin Bākutain?) is a supporting character in Star Ocean: Anamnesis, who was originally mentioned in Star Ocean: The Last Hope. He is the administrator of the planet Lazuli, aware of the danger posed by the Lazuli Stone, and keeps humans away from it.

A cyborg male with a mostly mechanized body, Kevin's face is a monitor with an antenna attached, giving his look a robotic element of old technology. Although Kevin is polite, he has a very strong belief in preventing misuse of power for the future of mankind, and he is determined to do so.
