Frozen is a status ailment in Star Ocean: The Second Story, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Characters afflicted with this ailment turn blue and are unable to move or act for a short period of time. What's more, if the character afflicted is attacked with a physical attack while frozen, he or she will be immediately KO'd, unless the character has something equipped to prevent sudden death.
Spells like Ice Needles and Deep Freeze, as well as enemies like Aquaregias and Render Tyrants, are known to cause this status. The status can be prevented with and accessories like Anti-Freeze Amulets. Items like Hot Chocolate can also cure it. It should be noted that there is a Battle Trophy in Till the End of Time titled "Win by Freezing all" which requires that all party members be frozen.
