Faerie Light (フェアリーライト, Fearīraito?), also known as Fairy Light, is a recurring symbology spell in the Star Ocean series. One of the most important spells in the game, it is one of the strongest HP recovery symbols as it heals the whole party.
An excerpt from the Tome of Faerie Light, found in the Runological Library of Castle Aquaria, reads: "Among the purebred faeries in Faerieland, there are several types that lay eggs on living creatures, including humans, Faerie larva that hatch from eggs immediately burrow into the body and start a parasitic relationship with their host. Whenever the host body is damaged, the larva protect themselves by releasing fluid that regenerates it. It is said that Fearie Light emits a specific color of light, thereby summoning faeries. That, of course, is an outright fabrication. After all, it would be far too revolting if it were true."

Faerie Light has a potency of 2200, being stronger than Cure All, and is learned by Millie Chliette and Erys Jerand (who is playable only in First Departure), both at level 52.
Star Ocean: The Second Story/Second Evolution[]
Originally named Fairy Light in The Second Story, Faerie Light again has a potency of 2200 and is learned by Rena Lanford and Noel Chandler at level 65 and 77, respectively. It costs 40 MP.
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time[]
Faerie Light restores 35% of all allies' HP, and its recovery amount increases with skill level. It is learned by Sophia Esteed and Adray Lasbard at level 22 and 37, respectively.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope[]
Faerie Light summons a faerie to recover at least 51% of all allies' maximum HP, and increases to 60% at level 10. It is learned only by Sarah Jerand at level 51. It is weaker than Faerie Star, which is learned through a skill manual.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness[]
Faerie Light restores the HP of all party members, surpassed in potency only by Faerie Star, and is learned by reading the skill book Fae Signets, Vol. 2. It can be learned by Miki Sauvester.
Star Ocean: Anamnesis[]
Faerie Light affects the whole party and is learned by Hana, Oracle Nel, Evelysse, Sarah, Dream Welch, Violet Katarina. It has several variants: Faerie Light Wave learned by Summer Sophia, Faerie Light AR learned by Rena, Sacred Faerie Light learned by Holiday Precis, Enraging Faerie Light learned by Relia, Feline Faerie Light AR learned by Youth Meracle, and others.
