Eldarians (エルダーリアンズ, Erudārianzu?) are a species of intelligent beings based on the Planet Eldar, fifth planet of the Eldar system, that has no appreciable differences, external or otherwise, from Humans. They live in a harsh environment under their sun that has grown to a giant, but their advanced technological skills allow them to overcome the elements and preserve life on their planet. The punishing conditions on Eldar make normal acclimation and evolution too slow to be effective, so life forms are born through DNA management and carefully raised under governmental care. The destruction of the planet itself loomed on the horizon, and plans to transport its population to another habitable planet were underway for years.
In A.D. 2074, the Eldarians extended a hand of salvation out to Earth, granting its people vital technological know-how just as they were in danger of extinction. The first contact between the two races was described as shaky at best, with even communication a great difficulty, but eventually, the hardships were overcome and a blossoming friendship was formed. Years later on the planet Aeos, the Eldarians rendered aid to the stranded crewmembers of the SRF spaceships and the two species formed a joint colonization effort centered on an Eldarian Exploration Base. With this close working relationship with humans, the Eldarian workers of the base quickly became obsessed with the Earth game of table tennis, spending much of the time that they weren't working on their research or resting devoted to this undertaking.
This newly formed friendship would soon be unraveled, when the Phantoms attacked Eldar, destroying the planet. The remaining Eldarians, refugees from the disaster, described their attackers as 'black SRF' ships. In their moment of anguish and confusion, believed Earth to be responsible. In order to prevent a diplomatic incident, the USTA denied the SRF and the government of Earth would take in Eldarian refugees, without compensation. This no doubt did not change the hearts of the Eldarians who were convinced of the events the witnessed, growing to loathe Earth.
Events, however, would draw the truth into the open. Along with Commander Stephen D. Kenny, Supreme Commander Gaghan and the Eldarians joined a combined Earth fleet, lending aid to the beleaguered Morphus in the fierce assault against Nox Obscurus.
Afterward, the Eldarians intend to immigrate to the planet Lemuris, a planet in which their ancestors had spoken of long ago. Lemurisians and Eldarians are in fact, biological cousins.
Taking into account that their advanced presence would affect the course of the Lemurisian evolution, they agree to abandon all technology and begin anew on the planet. It is unknown how many Eldarians immigrated to Lemuris, but it can be said that not all chose to settle.
