Authoring (執筆, Shippitsu?, lit. Writing) is an Item Creation specialty in Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness.
The advantage of Authoring is making skill books, which is helpful in leveling up the characters' skills. To unlock this skill, the player has to complete Welch Vineyard's eight quest, "Behavioral Study".
