Is everything working okay after UCP migration?
Is everything working okay after UCP migration?
I think so? Except, perhaps, for navboxes. They look really awful.
Looks to me like their custom navigation boxes at the bottom of each page need a little bit of extra work since the migration. It seems that theme customizations were removed. The resultant theme looks very bland and does not mesh with what should be a sci-fi atmosphere. @ShiroxCloud this isn't anything on you and your team, but the changeover makes for a lot of other work needed to set right what is out of whack. Good luck.
I can help you restyle them, but I'm not sure what they looked like before the migration, so I'll need some input from those who know :)
@Moviesign Think Star Trek, but with a twist. I believe they used a condensed font for box headers. They also have different color schemes for each game in the series.
I'm not bothered by them lacking the colors/theme specific to each game (though that'd be nice), and the dark grey background and group/list font and size remain the same.
However, 1) the title font used to be 'Homenaje' (which was also used in infobox headers until migration), 2) the collapsible toggle is missing (really my biggest pet peeve, lel), 3) title and header widths are wonky, 4) as are the [v - d - e] links, which should float on the left side.
Perhaps I should've tried harder to find the solutions on my own, but honestly after handling the transition for the Guilty Gear Wiki (plus a lot of clean-up) and then this, I wasn't in the mood.
@ShiroxCloud It seems that the more complex a wiki is "under the hood", the worse it fared going over to UCP. FFWiki took the summer quarter to get out from under a number of bugs brought on by backend issues. They're mostly working as of this writing. As for my two, they didn't get too far down the customization rabbit hole and came through mostly unscathed. DQWiki's got a good group of folks keeping things on the square; and then Mana didn't need too much more than a solid face lift. Anyway, this whole thing is a marathon and not a sprint, so take whatever time you need to set things straight.
The main problem is that NavboxBuilder on Dev has not been ported to UCP yet, so it doesn't work the way it used to. If you'd like to switch to using standard navboxes, I can help you with that.
If it's a matter of repatching code, I can either try to whip up something new, or I could go and replant it into the spots it needs to be once someone has built it. I have too much free time lol. Just let me know.
I think the navboxes are fixed, or at least better now. The VDE links are on the left again, the collapse arrow is back, and the font looks like it's working.
It definitely looks better, so thanks for that. :) I guess we'll just wait for the NavboxBuilder to be ported.
What do you think?
